What is EDELVÉA?
EDELVÉA is a luxury home fragrance house creating candles and diffusers inspired by quiet luxury and alpine stillness. Each piece is designed to bring a refined, understated sense of atmosphere into your home.
What makes Edelvéa different from other candle brands?
Edelvéa is built around restraint rather than excess: a dark, alpine-inspired aesthetic, a small scent collection, and a focus on quality over quantity. It's fragrance as quiet luxury, not a trend-driven product line.
How many scents does Edelvéa offer?
We work with three curated signature scents. Rather than offering a large catalogue, we've chosen to perfect a small, considered collection — each one designed to feel distinct and intentional.
Where are Edelvéa products made?
Every Edelvéa candle and diffuser is hand-poured and finished in our Ticino workshop, where Swiss precision meets a deep respect for craft. We work in small batches, choosing premium waxes, clean-burning cotton wicks, and fine fragrance oils to make sure every piece meets the standard people expect from Swiss-made goods: consistent, refined, built to last.
Orders
Can I return my order?
Unused products in their original condition may be returned within the period specified in our Return Policy. Personalized or custom-made products cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Can I cancel or change my order?
If your order has not yet entered production, we'll do our best to accommodate any changes or cancellations. As many of our products are handcrafted to order, we kindly ask that you contact us as soon as possible after placing your order.
Please note that we begin processing orders approximately 3–4 hours after they are placed. Once production has started, we may no longer be able to modify or cancel your order.
Do you keep products in stock?
Many of our products are handcrafted to order to ensure maximum freshness and quality. Please allow up to 5 business days for production before dispatch.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the damaged item and packaging. We will resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Shipping
Where do you ship?
We currently ship throughout Switzerland and selected European countries.
How long does shipping take?
All Edelvéa products are made and dispatched from Switzerland. As everything is handmade to order, please allow 2–5 days for preparation and dispatch. Delivery time then depends on the shipping method chosen — typically up to 5 days within Switzerland and up to 10 days for the rest of Europe.
How can I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.
Candles
What wax do you use?
Our candles are crafted with a premium natural wax blend, carefully chosen for a clean, even burn and excellent fragrance performance.
Why doesn't my candle smell strongly before lighting?
Cold throw (the scent from an unlit candle) is naturally more subtle than hot throw. The fragrance develops fully once the candle has burned long enough to create a complete melt pool.
Why is the first burn important?
Allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface during the first burn. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of your candle.
Is it normal for the wax to look uneven?
Yes. Natural wax may develop slight colour variations or surface imperfections. These are completely normal and do not affect performance.
Reed Diffusers
How long do reed diffusers last?
A 200 ml diffuser typically lasts between 3 and 4 months, depending on room temperature, airflow, and humidity.
How can I make the fragrance stronger?
Flip the reeds every 5–7 days. More frequent flipping will increase fragrance intensity but may shorten the diffuser's lifespan.
Where should I place my diffuser?
For best performance, place your diffuser in a well-ventilated room away from direct sunlight, radiators, and air conditioning vents.
Ingredients & Safety
Are your fragrances safe?
Yes. All fragrance oils used by Edelvéa comply with IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards and applicable European safety regulations.
Are your products certified?
Our products are manufactured using compliant raw materials and are labelled according to applicable EU and Swiss regulations. Safety Data Sheets (SDS), allergen information, and CLP labelling are available where required.
Are your candles safe around pets?
We recommend burning candles and placing diffusers in well-ventilated areas and keeping them out of reach of pets. As with all fragranced products, individual animals may have different sensitivities.
